Video Madness - 27 April 2007

In order to ensure that I am free for the next Arms Control Wonk-Noah Shachtman showdown at The Big Hunt this coming Thursday, I will slaving over some final projects all weekend. In the meantime, here is an interesting video interpretation of the Eisenhower Doctrine:

I can't wait for Ben Pluimer's studio to dramatize the New Look. I hope it involves zombies, Russian terrorists, and some sort of genetically-engineered doomsday virus.

The question of the day. How do these new army regs I read about over at Wired effect this blog?

I understand if you can't respond due to have to request authorization from a supervisor, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Eli -

I wasn't even aware of the reg change until I saw Noah's story. It won't probably impact my blog for a few reasons:

1. Since I work for the Army secretariat on acquisition and technology issues, I have almost no oversight into operational issues.

2. My boss is not aware of this blog and I plan to keep it that way.

3. Since I use a pen name, I justify all of my arguments on information in the public domain.

I imagine technology and acquisitions is fairly low priority area for the Army's information police. If they ever contact me, my readers will be the first to know -- be on the look out for a post entitled 'You can pry this blog from my cold, dead fingers.'
